Led by Deren Eryilmaz, the only certified Taubman Master Teacher in Europe, together with Hans Schellevis, the only Dutch, Instructor-level certified Taubman Teacher, this workshop combines lectures, masterclasses, and hands-on technical problem solving. Participants will learn how efficient movement at the keyboard leads to greater freedom, security, and artistry.

Whether you are a student, teacher, amateur, or professional pianist, this event offers practical tools you can immediately apply to your own playing and teaching.

  • 10:15 – 10:30 | Welcome
  • 10:30 – 11:00 | Introduction: Hans tells us what brought him to this work, and briefly explains the building blocks of the Taubman Approach and answers questions at the end of the session.
  • 11:15 – 12:00 | “Reality versus Misconceptions”: Deren explains the terminology and the right movements.
  • 12:00 – 12:15 | coffee/tea break
  • 12:15 – 13:15 | Hands-on Session at the piano I: bring a question and get an answer! *
  • 13:15 – 14:15 | Lunch Break
  • 14:15 – 14:45 | Masterclass: W.A. Mozart, Sonata in F-Major, K. 332, 1st and 2nd movement (Yuto Tanikawa)
  • 14:45 – 15:45 | Hands-on Session at the piano II: bring a question and get an answer! *
